Salvation Army Dropoff

Salvation Army Drop Off
We took a few NTHS Students this morning to drop off all the donations at the Salvation Army. They are always very appreciative because their supplies start to run low this time of year because their biggest donations are given around Christmas. We ended up giving them 2,200 items and $550. This could not have been possible without all of your help!

Silver Key Award for Graphic Design at the National Level Scholastics Art & Writing Competition

John Glenn Senior Emma O'Beirne has been awarded a Silver Key for her Graphic Design Portfolio at the National Level Scholastics Arts and Writing Competition for 2018. This makes her eligible for a wide range of scholarships to hundreds of participating schools across the country including Kendall and CCS. She will also be recognized at the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Previously this year Emma was awarded two Gold Keys in the Regional level Scholastics Art and Writing Competition as well as second place in the DAFT (Digital Arts Film and Technology)  poster competition where she will be awarded $50 and be recognized at the award ceremony at the DIA. In addition, Emma is also a member of the National Technical Honors Society and maintains a GPA above 3.5.

Congratulations to Zachary MacLean and your students for your hard work with the teachers, students, and families at William Ford Career Technical Center on saving energy. Mr. MacLean has received the 2018 Michigan Evergreen School designation, by completing at least 20 energy saving and environmental tasks.
